FINALLY — some Mommytime this weekend. Off with the GalPals to the Massachusetts Sheep & Woolcraft Festival in Cummington, Mass. An opportunity to see SpunkyEclectic and other nice vendors in a woodsy setting (when driving, you think you made a wrong turn, going down a dirt road to reach the hidden fairgrounds).
I like this festival a lot, because it’s three times as large as CT S&W, but still very doable in a day. The 4-H food is very good. And it lacks the kind of “acquirers” that get on my nerves at Rhinebeck and elsewhere. You know, the kind of people who are all about “scoring” loads of yarn and bring rolling suitcases along. Sometimes, we’ve made it quite the road trip, with lunch in Northampton and a stop at Webs on the way out of town. We’ll just have to see how it goes, as two of our pack will have bebes in tow. Not me. Darling Bebe is at a point where she’s not a docile lump, nor is she old enough to take direction, so maybe next year.
I don’t know what I would do if we were not going. Perhaps run howling into the street. I need a break. I hope you have one scheduled in your world.
