“… I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.” ~ Robert Frost
Funny how some things stick in your mind from high-school lit classes. Lots of Owl’s RAM is committed to such phrases.
This. Is. Good. News.
The End is near!
That’s right – the test-knit looks like a sweater. It has two sleeves, two fronts, a back and button bands all properly attached. Some ends are tied in. And the collar is on the needles.
(I woke up at 4:43 a.m. with needles in hand and television chattering. Oops. Not a good start to a work day, still being in yesterday’s clothes.)
Today’s goal: Finish collar, tying in ends and seaming. Wet-block tomorrow night. That allows four days to dry before delivery.
It may rain. This is sorely needed, just not tomorrow. Between now and that wet-blocking, I am hosting a party. A party is a much simpler thing to hold outside. Much simpler. But the party will happen. And it will end. And it involves ice cream, so leftovers are welcome. And the test-knit will be blocked. And Owl will then even begin to think about pack self and DB for a brief departure.
And when I come back, the test-knit will be dry and done.
And miles to go before I sleep.
